From the 24th to the 28th of January 2022, the CS3MESH4EOSC project, in collaboration with cs3community.org, organised the second edition of the Science Mesh workshop co-located at the CS3 Conference 2022.
The EOSC-Core & EOSC Marketplace Provider Days will take place from 26-28 April 2022. During this multi-day online event, service and data providers will get a crash course on how to join, and benefit from, the European Open Science Cloud.
Accessing, moving and managing data can be a difficult task for our users across ELIXIR. Datasets grow ever larger and more numerous, and simple HTTP becomes less adequate. We’ll hear how cutting edge workflow and data management projects such as Galaxy, iRODs and ScienceMesh are tackling these challenges.
The Low Frequency Array (LOFAR) telescope, which is also one of the CS3MESH4EOSC use-cases under "On demand-data transfer services" from Science Mesh, was featured in CNN Space and Science section.
CS3MEH4EOSC will support the next phase of shaping the EOSC, revolutionising how science is done in Europe as members from six CS3MESH4EOSC partners were selected to join several European Open Science Cloud Task Forces.
Data Science Environments, What is it and what are the Main Benefits? – 2nd Podcast with Marcin Sieprawski from CS3MESH4EOSC and Software Mind
CS3MESH4EOSC is kicking off its 2nd Podcast episode: “Data Science Environment - What is it and what are the main benefits?” This episode is focused on the Data Science Environments, a data service that will be integrated in the Mesh the main assets of the CS3MESH4EOSC project.
The main goal of the Science Mesh Workshop "Global Platform for Scientific Collaboration", co-located at the CS3 2022 Congress, is to dialogue with early adopters and potential vendors that will contribute to the final development, deployment and adoption of the Science Mesh.
New Protocols and Application Programme Interface Extensions Integrate Data Services into the Science Mesh
The CS3MESH4EOSC Project is developing several application-specific extensions to be integrated with the protocols and application programming interfaces (APIs) developed for the Science Mesh. With them, the different applications can be fully integrated into the Science Mesh and, therefore, will be available to the Science Mesh.
The 4th edition of Rucio Community Workshop took place from 28 to 30 Septebmer 2021 as a Virtual event. Rahul Chauhan and Giuseppe Lo Presti (CERN) made a presentation entitled "Rucio and ScienceMesh: Enabling data management for the CS3 community", about how FTS and Rucio technologies, part of the Science Mesh
